Testing at North Warren

Testing at North Warren:

If you are interested in participating in our screening testing process done weekly in the nurses suite, please see our website for the form to register HERE and CONTACT, Sue Griffen x705

If you are interested in the school nurse being able to do a PCR test for your child, or a staff member before being sent home if you come down ill at school, please see our website for the form to register HERE.

This is how it will work if ill at school and you are registered:

- Student or staff member is ill at school, the nurse will call the parent or speak with the staff member.
- If that individual is signed up for our PCR Quadrant testing, the nurse will do the test (the test involves a swab of the gum lines on your lower jaw and it is sent out to a lab at Upstate Medical in Syracuse under the Warren Co. Dept of Health License to test).
- The student or staff member will then be sent home immediately to quarantine.
- In ~48 hours you and our nurse will receive the results.
- If you are negative for COVID and symptoms are resolving, you can return immediately.
If you are positive for COVID, you will have to remain out (nurse will tell you when to return– using the five day process).

As students deal with the implications of social isolation from peers and school, it may help to have someone to talk to. If you would like to setup a phone appointment to speak with a counseling resource at school, please send an email to SocialConnect@northwarrencsd.org.

In your email, please provide a phone number that we can reach you. You will be contacted for a phone appointment.

PREPAY FOR FOOD SERVICES

  • With current national attention being focused on children’s health and wellness issues, North Warren Central School’s Food Service Department is excited to provide parents a convenient, easy and secure online prepayment service to deposit money into your child’s school meal account at any time.  This service also provides parents the ability to view your child’s account balance through a web site called mySchoolBucks.com.  By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends.

Also, parents will have the ability to print out a copy of their child’s eating history report.  This history report will show you all dates and times that your child has purchased a breakfast and or lunch within the past thirty days.

For more information and to access these services simply click on the Food Service link and choose Payment Information.
