North Warren Food Service

Announcement:

Through the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act championed by the First Lady and signed by President Obama, the USDA is making the first major changes in school meals in 15 years, which will help us raise a healthier generation of children.  In order to comply with these new federal mandates and continue to receive funding for our school lunch program, we have recently made adjustments to the portion sizes for students in grades 7 and 8.  Our cafeteria manager. Mr. Scroggins met recently with the students to explain these changes. The Nutrition Standards for both the lunch and breakfast programs are outlined in this Nutritional Standards document. If you have questions about the changes or about the breakfast or lunch programs, please direct them to Mr. Scroggins at (518) 494-3015 x 236

North Warren offers both breakfast and lunch. Menus meet USDA standards and provide recommended daily allowances in the meals.

Parents should contact the school office for applications for free or reduced priced meals. The school office can also supply you with information about income levels required. All matters relating to applying for and obtaining free or reduced price meals are strictly confidential. If school has a delayed start due to inclement weather, etc., no breakfast will be served.
